Misalignment makes a finished car look rushed, no matter how clean the paint job is or how well the motor runs. When reflections ripple strangely over a panel surface, or when the gap along a trunk lid pinches in and flares out, the car loses that clean factory look. Checking the Key Contact Points During Fitment

- Trunk lid corners: check both height and gap from the quarter panel to the tail panel
- Quarter panel bottoms: look for bowing, pinching, or swelling where they meet the rocker
One of the most overlooked spots to keep an eye on is where the rocker meets the lower quarter. That is where small shifts in panel size start building into misalignment all the way up the side of the car.
